As 2025 comes to an end, Tesla owner David Moss achieved an incredible feat—sitting in the driver’s seat of a Model 3 and driving all the way from California to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, without taking control of the steering wheel even once.

This is not a marketing gimmick but a real technological validation. The entire journey covered 2,732.4 miles (approximately 4,397 kilometers) over 2 days and 20 hours, with zero human intervention, including all parking operations handled by autonomous driving. As a result, Moss became the first person in the world to cross the east and west coasts of the United States entirely relying on autonomous driving technology.

This achievement instantly sparked excitement in the Tesla community. The North American official account directly announced: "The first Tesla to cross the US east and west coasts entirely with full autonomous driving. Zero human intervention, full FSD." Musk also retweeted with a single word—"Cool."

Honestly, this event demonstrates what level Tesla’s FSD( fully autonomous driving) has reached. From the launch of Robotaxi services last June to recent unsupervised testing, Tesla’s autonomous driving is rapidly moving from concept to practical application.

To promote FSD adoption, Tesla North America recently launched a 30-day free trial (all vehicles equipped with Hardware 4 are eligible). After the trial period, US users can choose to purchase outright ($8,000) or subscribe monthly ($99/month). Moss’s crossing, to some extent, serves as the best advertisement for FSD capabilities.

A madman is a madman. How much do you have to believe in your own car? I really can't do it, haha.

This is true dogfooding, not just a marketing stunt... --- Wait, does 2732 miles really mean zero intervention? How is parking handled, and what about hill starts? --- Elon Musk just commented "Cool" haha, this guy knows how to be concise --- 99 dollars a month? I don't have a car, but if I did... I could accept this price --- Honestly, this is much more reliable than the Robotaxi demo. Real-world validation is more convincing --- From California to South Carolina... just imagining it feels exciting. If a bug occurs mid-route, it could be a big problem --- Zero human intervention including parking? Then FSD is indeed impressive now. What about those previous criticisms? --- This guy truly trusts Tesla. I respect you, you're a real man --- 8,000 dollars for a buyout vs 99 dollars monthly rent... how do you calculate this? How long can an average user hold out?

Is this guy crazy or really talented? He just put his hand down and crossed the US entirely. FSD is truly mature now...
