Proximar Seafood AS (PROXI.OL) has announced a leadership transition at the board level. Viggo Halseth, an experienced figure in the aquaculture feed sector, will assume chairmanship of the board following Kjell-Erik Østdahl’s resignation, effective January 1, 2026.

Halseth’s appointment brings substantial industry credentials to the helm. Since joining the board in 2022, he has demonstrated his value as a director. His professional trajectory spans nearly 40 years within the aquaculture and feed production domain, marked by executive positions at major multinational corporations. At Nutreco, he served as Chief Innovation Officer, while his tenure at Skretting included leadership of both the Norwegian subsidiary and the broader Skretting Group as CEO.

The transition occurs as Kjell-Erik Østdahl, the outgoing chair, departs from his position. Halseth’s appointment will remain in place until the company’s next General Meeting, at which point shareholders will have the opportunity to confirm or modify the board composition.

This leadership change reflects Proximar Seafood’s commitment to maintaining continuity within its governance structure while leveraging deep industry expertise at the executive level.
