J.Jill, Inc. (JILL) unveiled Thursday that Mary Ellen Coyne will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer and President starting May 1, 2025, with an additional seat on the Board of Directors. The transition comes as current CEO Claire Spofford steps aside following her announced departure in December, with her tenure concluding on April 30, 2025.

Coyne brings considerable expertise from the retail sector, with a demonstrated ability to execute growth initiatives and lead organizational transformation. Her recent tenure as CEO at J.McLaughlin and her substantial background at Ralph Lauren position her as a seasoned executive capable of scaling operations, elevating customer engagement, and creating shareholder returns.
