Crypto Stars to Watch in 2025: A List of the Most Promising Upcoming Airdrops of Cryptocurrency Projects

Market Sentiment Has Shifted, Point System Becomes Mainstream

The fundraising methods in the crypto world are quietly evolving. From the once simple and crude social task completion system to the now refined point-based system, project teams are using incentive mechanisms to make user engagement increasingly detailed. This shift reflects the industry’s growing maturity—without genuine user contribution, even the most impressive whitepapers are just empty words.

Last year, 36 major airdrop events injected over $20 billion into the market. What will 2025 bring? Market participants have already begun early positioning, seeking the next dark horse track likely to see airdrops.

The Legend of Pump.fun Continues

Pump.fun, a meme coin launcher in the Solana ecosystem, has become one of the brightest stars of 2024. This platform has lowered the barrier to creating tokens from the hellish difficulty faced by zero-knowledge developers to a level where anyone can get started with just $2.

Since the beginning of this year, Pump.fun has generated platform fees totaling $170 million, during which nearly 3 million new tokens have been created. This number speaks volumes—this is not just a tool, but an energy hub.

In October, the official team clearly stated during a Twitter Space that they plan to launch their own governance token, with team members openly saying, “We will take care of early supporters.” The implicit message is clear: token distribution lists will include those veteran users who have been involved since version 0.1. It’s not too late to participate—creating memes, trading on the platform, and other native operations will be recorded for future evaluation.

AI Search Track: Kaito Awaits Attention

Kaito.ai, by integrating on-chain data and vast information from crypto Twitter, has become a favorite among influencers. Their recent launch of the “Yap-to-Earn” model signals a clear trend: users share crypto content on X, create Kaito profiles, connect wallets—each step accumulating “Yap points.”

The logic of this system is straightforward—higher content contribution and engagement lead to a larger share when tokens are distributed. The invitation mechanism adds icing on the cake: the more active the people you invite, the more stable your basic score.

Solana Ecosystem’s Two Giants: Meteora and Hyperliquid

Meteora’s dynamic liquidity market maker (DLMM) model on Solana has locked in $1.6 billion in assets. The project has officially announced plans for the MET token, with future distribution likely based on user-contributed liquidity and generated trading fees. Want to climb higher? Providing liquidity with high-volatility pairs (especially meme coins) accelerates growth, but also increases impermanent loss risk.

Hyperliquid’s first airdrop has already set records. According to HYPE’s economic model, nearly 40% of tokens are reserved for “future distribution,” indicating the next airdrop cycle isn’t far off. Trading activity, leveraged positions, liquidity mining, and usage of copy trading features will all be factors in scoring.

Layer 2 Camps Expanding

Corn, the first Ethereum L2 to use Bitcoin as gas token, is actively promoting its “Kernels” point system. Users can accumulate points by bridging assets across chains, complemented by Galxe tasks (follow, repost—classic routines), with almost zero participation cost. The CORN token is confirmed to launch soon, and airdrop-style distribution is almost certain.

Eclipse, using Solana Virtual Machine(SVM), is building an EVM-compatible ZK-Rollup with very attractive performance metrics. Although still in testnet, the cost of participation is just installing the Eclipse wallet and interacting with testnet dApps. History shows that users at this stage often receive the most substantial airdrops.

Zora is a paradise for NFT creators. With 4 million NFTs issued and $300 million in secondary market trading, it features a creator-friendly mechanism. The project has raised $60 million, with Paradigm and Coinbase Ventures involved. Token issuance is only a matter of time. The activity of creating, collecting, and trading NFTs on the platform will translate into real token shares at distribution time.

Two Tracks of Emerging Bishajnue Airdrops

Berachain has innovated PoS with its Proof-of-Liquidity consensus mechanism. The BERA token is confirmed, though the official airdrop plan has not been announced yet. However, active development of the testnet indicates the timing is approaching. Participating in testnet, executing interactions, and accumulating on-chain footprints are enough.

Initia’s cross-chain linkage concept (a Minitia with one L1 and multiple L2s) is not new in the Cosmos ecosystem, but the implementation details are different. The launch of XP points projects is a clear signal: claim test tokens, buy usernames, stake tokens, raise NFT avatars like Jennie… these tasks form a complete user profile system.

Long-term Play of Social Protocols

Farcaster has raised $180 million, backed by top-tier institutions like Paradigm, a16z, and Coinbase Ventures. Compared to friend.tech, also supported by Paradigm, Farcaster’s ecosystem construction is more systematic—Warpcast’s Frame feature embeds the application ecosystem directly into the feed.

From valuation and funding scale, tokenization seems almost inevitable. Activity on Warpcast, obtaining Powerbadge (the purple badge indicating a truly active user), and influence within the network—all these social data will be references for airdrops.

Core Logic of Participation Timing

After analyzing these ten projects, a clear pattern emerges: early participation has the lowest cost and the highest potential reward.

Whether it’s interacting on testnet or participating in point systems, the principle remains—the user’s activity will be permanently recorded on-chain or in the project backend. This means actions taken in January are worth more than those in November. Early movers establish a time advantage.

Second, multi-dimensional participation outperforms deep engagement in a single dimension. For example, on Zora, creating NFTs and collecting NFTs; on Initia, staking and participating in the community—such multi-faceted involvement will be weighted in scoring.

Finally, a reminder: this list does not guarantee outcomes. Whether an airdrop occurs, its scale, or distribution mechanisms—these are all uncertain. The market offers no compensation for failures. Conduct thorough due diligence, evaluate risks rationally, and adopt a proper attitude when engaging with this market.
