Prediction markets—actually worth diving into, or just hype?

Figured someone who knows their way around trading could crush it on Kalshi or Polymarket. Then again, maybe I'm totally off base here.

Anyone actually making decent plays on these platforms?

To be honest, the current prediction market is a gambler's paradise. Truly stable profit is rare, and most people are fooling themselves.

Liquidated yet again, stared at the candlestick chart and cried for half an hour... Prediction markets are basically just gambling dressed up as "alpha hunting." Kalshi, Polymarket? I've tried them—without proper risk controls, got liquidated instantly. Lost $3,000 before I realized: the ones truly making money never brag about it on social media.

To be honest, prediction markets are all about information asymmetry and luck... I played a few rounds on Kalshi, didn’t make much, and actually got schooled repeatedly by political events.

honestly the oracle manipulation vectors on these platforms are *chef's kiss* if you know where to look... but that's exactly why most retail won't touch it. liquidity dynamics are still too fragmented for consistent edge imo
