Tether has launched the native version of USDT (code-named USDT₀) on Mantle, and a leading exchange has already supported direct deposit and withdrawal.

What is different this time? No need for cross-chain bridges, no need to wrap tokens, directly achieving full-chain circulation. Zero friction.

The high performance and low fees of Mantle are one aspect, but more crucially, it is deeply compatible with LayerZero's OFT standard. This makes it the first network driven by mainstream exchanges to truly support Omnichain native USDT. The era of stablecoins crossing chains may indeed require a different approach.
