#DeFi生态系统发展 It's that time of year again for new projects. It seems that the project parties have agreed to launch intensively around the National Day this year. Momentum, Yield Basis, Canton Network, all of them have quite a reputation. But I won't be blinded by these flashy names and high valuations. Remember last year around this time, how many people stayed up late refreshing Twitter and filling out forms to grab the allowlist for popular projects? And what happened? They got played for suckers as soon as they launched.
The several projects this time don't seem very reliable either. Momentum, although backed by big VCs, has an annualized return of 155%, which is too exaggerated; it might be another play people for suckers. Yield Basis is somewhat interesting, but a $200 million valuation is also ridiculous, quadrupling from internal financing; who gave them the courage? As for Canton Network, it does have institutional backing, but it's uncertain how much of a share retail investors can get.
My suggestion is, don't let these so-called "opportunities" cloud your judgment. During the National Day holiday, take a break when you need to, and have fun when you can. The market is never short of opportunities, but missing out on health and life is the real regret. Stay clear-headed and steer away from FOMO; that is the secret to living long on the chain.
