The Simpsons predict XRP to $589? The truth is here.
A video circulating online claims that “The Simpsons” predicted XRP will rise to $589 by the end of this year. The video uses various “evidences” to support this claim:
But what is the truth?
That screenshot of Bart writing $589 is not a real plot at all, it's purely a meme created by community members. The “Frinkcoin” episode did air in 2020 and indeed talked about blockchain, but there was no XRP prophecy.
Key data crashed: On December 31, 2020, the price of XRP never came close to $589, still far from a hundredfold coin. This “prophecy” has never been realized.
Summary: This is just an internet meme that has evolved into an urban legend. Logo similarity, numerical coincidences, and community edits—none are enough to become a true prophecy. The FOMO sentiment in the crypto world is indeed strong, but don't be led by fake screenshots.
The current trading price of XRP is around $1.99, which is still over 280 times away from the legendary $589. Instead of believing in such predictions, it's better to look at on-chain data for a more realistic perspective.
