Yesterday, the Ukrainian Sentient community had the opportunity to ask questions to @vivekkolli
I took advantage of this great opportunity myself and asked two questions (through @kurlyk27 )
Q1: Are all community AI agents in Sentient Chat required to be open-source code?
A: Not necessarily — we just want people to open-source at least some part of it.
For example, X(not sure which project he mentioned) has a pretty good Web2 example: their full thing isn’t open-source, and we can’t force them to make it that way.
But the way artifacts will work on the Grid is that they’ll contribute heavily to the open-source economy, and we’ll have them open-sourced.
— I really like this approach. Sentient doesn’t force AI agents to be fully open-source right away, but instead creates an environment where open-source AI agents can live, grow, and be monetized.
Q2: What unique blockchain-related features will be added to Sentient Chat?
A: So, I don’t know about blockchain features being added to Sentient Chat.
I know about the Grid, and I keep coming back to it because, basically, Sentient Chat is the distribution platform for the Grid.
So maybe the right question is:
what Web3 capabilities are coming to the Grid?
Right now, we do market research and sentiment analysis quite well within the Grid.
We already have all these Web3 agents, and the next thing I’m really interested in — and I know the team is too — is autonomous execution.
Bring me agents that can carry out tasks on your behalf, especially related to payments. It’s still a little far off because first, we want to get Sentient Chat into a good place to fully open-source it.
Also, there are a lot of Web2 players joining the Grid.
But I think the next big thing we’re excited about will be autonomous execution.
— As I understand it, by “autonomous execution” he means agents like Arma, Modius, and Nebula.
These agents can independently interact with the blockchain, and they are currently being prepared for integration into Sentient Chat.
But as mentioned in the answer, Sentient Chat first needs to reach a stable state and be fully open-sourced.
I really enjoyed this X Space - big thanks to @vivekkolli for visiting the Ukrainian community!
