Canada's economy took a hit in the third quarter of 2025. Stats Canada dropped the bomb: real GDP shrank by 0.6%. Not great, considering the tiny 0.2% growth last time around.

Year-over-year? A 2.1% nosedive. Ouch. Economists didn't see that coming. It's got people worried about the big picture.

Manufacturing and exports? Down in the dumps. Silver mining's struggling too. Even those shiny silver Canadian quarters aren't pumping out like they used to. Demand's off. Operations are... complicated.

Currency markets got jittery. USD/CAD bounced around, ending up 0.3% higher at 1.3890. Kind of surprising, really.

This economic stumble's got everyone talking. Policymakers are scratching their heads. How to boost growth? What about the precious metals folks? Those silver quarters don't mint themselves, you know.

The global economy's a bit of a mess. All eyes are on Canada now. Can those traditionally strong sectors pull through? It's not entirely clear. We'll have to wait and see.
