#美国加征关税 ETH price shows strong upward momentum, with a short-term target price of $4600 and the potential to reach $8500 by the end of the year. It is worth following that various alts have started to rotate and rise, especially BNB on-chain projects that have been performing actively, with recent cases of Primary Market k-fold returns on investment.
What is even more noteworthy is that the South Asian country Bhutan has officially announced the migration of its national self-sovereign identity system from the Polygon network to the Ethereum mainnet. According to the latest news on October 14, this strategic shift will enable nearly 800,000 residents of Bhutan to verify their identities on the Ethereum blockchain and conveniently access government services.
Aya Miyaguchi, the chairwoman of the Ethereum Foundation, has confirmed that the system migration work is progressing smoothly, with the complete migration of all resident identity credentials expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2026. During the grand launch ceremony, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin attended alongside Miyaguchi, and the Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, as well as Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck, were also present to witness this milestone event.
It is worth mentioning that Bhutan's blockchain identity system has undergone multiple technological iterations. The country has been running its national identification system on Polygon since August 2024, while in earlier stages it relied on Hyperledger Indy technology. Currently, only a few countries globally, such as Brazil and Vietnam, have partially implemented blockchain-based identification solutions, and Bhutan's comprehensive migration will become an important use case for blockchain technology in national governance.
