China's Money Supply Soaring

robot
Abstract generation in progress

China’s money pile just keeps growing. By August 2025, their M2 supply hit ¥331.98 trillion. That’s about $46.56 trillion in US dollars. Up a bit from last month - 0.62%. But year-over-year? A whopping 8.83% jump.

Meanwhile in America? Their M2 sits at roughly $21.56 trillion.

So China’s money supply is more than double America’s now. Kind of shocking when you think about it. They’re just printing and printing.

🔄 What This Means

We’ve seen this before. China floods their economy with money, like in 2016 and 2020. Then everyone else starts doing it too. It seems to be a pattern.

If the US and Europe decide to play catch-up with China’s money printing? Well…

• Money everywhere. Just sloshing around global markets.

• Stocks might go up. A lot.

• Other stuff too. Gold? Crypto? Art? Not entirely clear which alternative assets win, but they probably will.

💬 Final Thought

This new record of ¥331.98 trillion is a big deal. China’s pushing ahead with their money expansion - that 8.83% yearly growth isn’t subtle. If other big economies jump on this train, we might see everything boom. Or at least asset prices. The global economy could heat up fast.
