The Ethereum Foundation organization announced plans to adopt zero-knowledge proofs (ZK) at all levels of the stack. The first step towards this will be the deployment of L1 zkEVM.
It should be noted that the integration of ZK technology is part of the organization's broader strategy for expanding the first layer.
