The whale cleared $1.2 billion in BTC long positions in 47 minutes, losing money in the short term but still making a profit overall

Recently, a well-known crypto trader’s large-scale liquidation has attracted a lot of attention in the market. According to on-chain data, the trader liquidated about $1.2 billion worth of long Bitcoin positions in just 47 minutes.

The closing operation started at 6:40 on the same day and was completed at 7:27. The trader opened his position at an average price of $108,921 and closed it at an average price of $107,746, resulting in a loss of about $13.39 million in this trade.

Despite the significant losses caused by this operation, the trader still made a profit of about $8.45 million in the overall round of trading if you take into account his recent bitcoin trading history.

This event once again highlights the high volatility of the crypto assets market and the potential impact that large transactions can have on market sentiment and price trends. At the same time, it reminds investors to carefully manage risks and stay updated on market movements.
