Today at the 2025 Lujiazui Forum, Wang Xin, director (director) of the Research Bureau (Counselor's Office) of the People's Bank of China, said that the future status of the dollar, on the one hand, depends on the US economy and US policy, and we have seen great changes and have seen a decline in confidence in the US dollar. On the other hand, it also depends on the development of other major currencies and other major currency issuers, which is a combined result. Generally speaking, it would be a better improvement to move from a system that relies too heavily on the dollar to a system in which several major currencies compete with each other, with some kind of constraints and incentives on the policies of the major currency issuers.
