South Korean actress Hwang Jung-eum once embezzled 4.2 billion won from the company to invest in Crypto Assets, and has now fully repaid the amount.

On June 17, South Korean actress Hwang Jung-eun was indicted for allegedly misappropriating about 4.2 billion won ($3.07 million) of company funds to invest in virtual currency. His agency, Y1 Entertainment, said on June 17 that Huang had repaid all the arrears in two installments, on May 30 and June 5. Previously, Hwang Jung-in withdrew a total of 4.34 billion won from Hunmin Jeong-in Entertainment around 2022, most of which was used for cryptocurrency investment, in a case involving a violation of the relevant provisions of the Act on Aggravated Penalties for Specified Economic Crimes on misappropriation of funds, and is currently undergoing judicial proceedings.
