The Republic of Buryatia seized a truck at an illegal mining site, directly stealing 10 kV electricity with 95 pieces of equipment.

[Chain News] PANews, June 14 - During a routine inspection of power lines in the Baikal Lake region, law enforcement agencies in the Republic of Buryatia, Russian Federation, discovered illegal crypto mining activities hidden inside a Kamaz truck. The truck was drawing power from a 10 kV line and contained 95 mining devices and a mobile substation. However, two individuals involved in the case fled the scene in an SUV before the police arrived. Buryat Energy Company, a subsidiary of the Siberian Power Company, reported that there have been six cases of electricity theft related to crypto mining since the beginning of this year.
