Recently, I discovered a new account using homophonic text on a social platform, which raised my alert. Out of curiosity, after further investigation, this operational model evoked unpleasant memories from my past experiences with stock market eyewash and investment schemes.

These types of accounts usually appear very professional on the surface, claiming to have many years of experience (this account claims to have 8 years of experience), but their content style is very similar to typical fund scam tactics. On the surface, the number of followers seems considerable (around 10,000), which can easily mislead people into thinking they are genuine industry experts. However, a deeper analysis will reveal that these follower data and comments are likely purchased or artificially generated.

The key point of suspicion lies in the activity timeline and content characteristics of the account. This particular account was suddenly activated at the end of May (previously showing as an old account from 2017) and began to intensively post cryptocurrency-related content in early June. Particularly suspicious is the account's heavy use of homophones to replace normal expressions, while the comment section is also filled with comments using the same homophone substitution method, with highly consistent content patterns that appear very unnatural.

What is even more alarming is that the so-called chat records with users displayed by this account are clearly scripted dialogue patterns. If you are an ordinary user, think back, would you communicate with a so-called "expert" in that manner?

This is likely a mature scam tactic. Based on this case, it is advised that everyone remains highly vigilant towards new accounts that suddenly appear and use a lot of homophonic text on social platforms, as these may be carefully designed scam traps.

The cryptocurrency field is already a mixed bag, and these types of eyewash schemes are constantly evolving. I hope that by sharing this case, it can help more people raise their awareness and avoid falling into similar eyewash traps.
