Li Chenggang told Chinese and foreign media reporters after the first meeting of the China-US economic and trade consultation mechanism that in the past two days, the communication between the Chinese and US teams has been “very professional, rational, in-depth and candid”. “We hope that the progress made in the London talks will help further enhance trust between China and the United States, further promote the stable and healthy development of China-US economic and trade relations, and inject positive energy into the global economic development.” Li Chenggang said.
