According to reports from media such as the “Wall Street Journal,” citing “informed sources,” before the first meeting of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism began, Trump granted certain negotiation authorizations to the U.S. delegation before their departure, allowing for flexibility on some issues—such as potential export controls on EDA design software, aircraft engine components, ethane, and nuclear energy equipment, which the U.S. side may adjust at their discretion.
