On June 8th, the official Sui ecosystem liquidity platform Cetus announced that it will be restarting today at 9 AM UTC+8. Users will be able to access all features of Cetus, including trading, managing liquidity positions, adding/removing liquidity, and claiming fees and rewards, with the liquidity recovery rate for affected pools ranging from 85% to 99%.
Cetus will allocate 15% of the tokens for contract compensation, of which 5% will be available for immediate withdrawal upon restart, and 10% will be linearly unlocked over 12 months starting from June 10, 2025. The Cetus team stated that they have invested all available cash reserves of approximately $7 million and obtained a loan of 30 million USDC from the Sui Foundation to support the recovery. Meanwhile, the team is taking legal action in multiple jurisdictions to recover the remaining stolen funds.
