According to reports, blockchain advocacy groups such as the Blockchain Association, CoinCenter, DeFi Education Fund, and the Bitcoin Policy Institute are calling for the dismissal of the case against the Bitcoin coin mixer Samourai. These groups argue that SamouraiWallet merely assists people in executing financial transactions online and does not violate U.S. law. Nevertheless, a federal judge this week rejected the friend-of-the-court briefs from these groups. Previously, the U.S. government shut down SamouraiWallet and arrested its developers, accusing the application of being an "unlicensed remittance business" used by criminals.
