PI Coin users continue to show loyalty despite ongoing issues in the network.

The price of the PI coin continues to disappoint, having fallen by about 60% from its peak of $1.6 in May. The community has also had to deal with many issues since the launch, and one might think that most users are tired or even regret joining the project. However, despite the recent difficulties, many users of the Pi Network are showing an astonishing level of long-term commitment.

The Pi Network has come under close scrutiny. Blockchain analysts have noticed large movements of tokens that have raised alarm. About 12 million PI tokens were moved from wallets presumably linked to the core development team. This occurred just as the price of PI fell by 50%. This has led to growing questions about whether these were innocent migrations from the test network to the main network or something more serious. Users have been asking for clear answers, especially considering that transparency has been a concern.

It was planned to unlock 276 million PI tokens. At that time, this amount was worth about $176 million. This led to new discussions about market impact, price pressure, and whether this event would finally give Pi a real chance at price formation.

So, with all this drama and much more, what do users really think about the future of Pi Network?

Survey that shows the community's sentiments

To find this out, a user named Dr Altcoin (@Dr_Picoin) conducted a poll on Twitter to check the pulse of the community. The tweet asked:

How long do you plan to remain loyal to the Pi Network project?

In the tweet, @PiCoreTeam, Dr Nicolas Kokkalis (@nkokkalis) and Dr Chengdiao Fan (@Chengdiao) were mentioned, two leading developers of the Pi Network.
The survey options and results were as follows:

Get all coins and exit — 25.5%

5 years — 19.6%

10 years — 10.7%

Lifetime — 44.2%

More than 1000 people voted in the survey, and the results say a lot about where the Pi Network community currently stands.

Understanding numbers and reactions

25.5% of those who chose to receive their coins and exit clearly came here only for the money. They mined Pi and are waiting for the opportunity to cash out as soon as the open mainnet is operational. Their participation is transactional in nature.

Some answers reflect this attitude:

Strude (@strudinho): "The only people who, as I see it, are genuinely committed to this... are... people from poor economic countries." The only people who, as I see it, are genuinely committed to this cause ( and I say this with no disrespect! ), they are people from third world/poor economic countries who hope that this is their way out. How much more benefit are you actually going to get?
XploringHere: "After 6 years they are still not ready. Limited number of applications, KYC issues, lack of transparency."

Next, 19.6% of users stated that they would wait for about 5 years. This group still believes in the medium-term goals of Pi. They may monitor the development of applications, market growth, and user adoption.

ArtiFi (@ArtiFi0): "I am very optimistic about Pi, but hope cannot last long, considering that PCT gives us so little."

Only 10.7% of users stated that they are willing to stay for 10 years. This shows deep trust in the project and its vision. These users are waiting for Pi to become a global financial ecosystem, even if it takes a decade.

The largest group, 44.2%, stated that they are in it for life. This number is important. These users believe in the values and mission of Pi Network. It's not just about the price of PI. They see it as a movement to build an inclusive global economy through mobile mining and decentralization.

What does this mean for the future of Pi

The survey shows that despite delays and falling prices, Pi Network has created a strong core community. Although 1 in 4 users clearly plans to sell and leave, more than half remain for the long term. Such loyalty is rarely seen in cryptocurrency.

Doctor Altcoin's tweet was also a message to the management. Noting the Pi Core team and the founders, he clearly indicated that many users still believe in the project.

The upcoming decisions regarding the unlocking of tokens, the development of the mainnet, and transparency will determine what happens next. The community has spoken. Now the question is whether the Pi Network team can meet their expectations.
