According to informed sources, Elon Musk’s Starlink has obtained key licenses from the Indian Department of Telecommunications, clearing a major obstacle and bringing the company closer to commercial operations in India. Starlink is the third company to receive permission from the Indian telecommunications department, which has previously approved similar applications from the European satellite communications company Eutelsat’s OneWeb and the Indian telecommunications company Reliance Jio.
