The law prohibits the use of presidential badges in a way that implies government approval and is punishable by six months in prison or a fine. Legal experts note that the US president's emblem is used only on official occasions, and previous presidents such as Obama and Biden have not used the logo in private business activities. The White House did not respond to media inquiries about the legality of the badge's use.
