On May 22, Sentora (formerly IntoTheBlock) posted that after Ethereum’s sharp sell-off since December 2024, the proportion of profitable addresses has plummeted from more than 90% to just 32% in April 2025. And the rally was just as violent, with nearly 60% of holders back to profitability as of today. Ethereum hasn’t experienced volatility of this magnitude since 2017.
