Bitcoin price peaked at 84,600 USD on Easter 2025
On April 20, a report revealed information about the price volatility of Bitcoin during Easter in recent years. This is a valuable insight into the development journey of Bitcoin, from its early years with no value to the impressive highs in the near future. In 2025, the price is expected to reach 84,600 USD, which is the highest level in the past 17 years.
Notably, the price of Bitcoin has undergone significant changes in just the past few years. In 2024, the price stands at 64,455 USD while in 2023 the price was 27,931 USD. The clear recovery is evident in 2022 with a price of 42,782 USD from a price of 58,245 USD in 2021. In 2020, this pioneering cryptocurrency was priced at 7,302 USD, signaling a strong increase in value from 2019 when it was only 5,205 USD.
The history of Bitcoin becomes more interesting when looking at the development process from much lower price levels. In 2018, Bitcoin was traded at 6,771 USD, while in 2017 the price only reached 1,188 USD. As we go further back in previous years, the value decreased, as shown by the milestones of 419 USD in 2016 and only 244 USD a year before that. The significant difference from the price of 443 USD in 2014 to 190 USD in 2013 further confirms the high volatility of the cryptocurrency market.
Interestingly, in its early days in 2011, Bitcoin was worth only 0.73 USD and had no value at all in 2009. This data not only reflects the development of Bitcoin but also serves as a reminder of the inherent uncertainty of the cryptocurrency market. This information is for market informational purposes only and not investment advice.
