Gate Releases Q3 2025 Report: Global Users Surpass 41 Million, Building a Diversified, Integrated Crypto Ecosystem

Trading Business Continues Strong Growth, With Record Performance in Derivatives and Spot Markets

In Q3, Gate’s trading volumes and market shares both reached new highs, as spot and derivatives businesses grew in tandem. According to data from CoinDesk and CoinGecko, Gate’s derivatives volume in July showed one of the top global month-on-month increases; in August, it surged nearly 100%, raising its market share to 10.1 %, the largest growth in the industry. The spot market likewise showed strong performance: from year-start the market share rose by 2.87 %, the highest among major exchanges; in September, the spot monthly trading volume grew 20.1 % month-on-month, lifting market share to 5.47 %, a new record.

In Q3, the platform’s total reserves reached USD 12.02 billion, with a total reserve ratio of 123.98 %, covering over 400 asset types; the excess reserves rose to USD 2.32 billion, up 7.14 % quarter-on-quarter. Gate Earn recorded a daily average participation exceeding 360,000 users this quarter; the cumulative subscription amount surpassed USD 13 billion, with total assets reaching USD 3.143 billion, up 46.5 % quarter-on-quarter, a new historical high. “Hold-to-earn” features launched in on-chain yield products and dual-currency investments allowed spot assets to earn returns without lock-up, further expanding user asset-appreciation pathways.
On the institutional side, contract and spot trading volumes grew over 30% and 40% respectively quarter-on-quarter, and lending cumulative volume exceeded USD 10 billion. Gate also launched the industry’s first Web2/Web3 interoperable system, Gate SuperLink, bridging traditional finance and crypto-assets ecosystems and providing institutional clients with more efficient capital and asset-management solutions.
