The exchange keeps the private key, mnemonic phrases, and other information of the wallet. You only need to remember your login password and fund password. If you accidentally forget it, you can also retrieve it by “forgetting the password.”
Gate DEX is a decentralized exchange. With the Gate Web3 Wallet, you have complete control over your assets, private keys, and mnemonic phrases. Gate will not know or store your private keys, asset balances, and other information. Please make sure to properly backup and keep your mnemonic phrases or private key. If lost, your assets will not be recovered.
