Gatecode can be used for transferring funds between Gate accounts. All currencies on the platform can be converted into a recharge code. It allows fee-free transfers with instant transactions.

For withdrawal party: obtaining the Gatecode in the Gatecode withdrawal page.

  1. Log into your Gate account on App and click “Assets” - “Withdraw”.

  2. Alternatively, you can go to “Spot Account”, search the coin you want to withdraw in the search box, and then click “Withdraw” on the page of the selected coin.

  3. Select “GateCode”.

  4. Enter the amount you want to withdraw and click “Next”.
  5. Double-check the information before entering the fund password, SMS code, and Google Authenticator code, and then click “Confirm”.
  6. Having completed the withdrawal, you may save the GateCode as an image or copy the Full GateCode/Half Code.
  7. Alternatively, you may go to the withdrawal details page and click “View” to check the full GateCode.

For deposit party: redeeming the Gatecode on the Gatecode deposit page.

  1. Log into your Gate account on App and click “Assets” - “Deposit”.

  2. Alternatively, you can go to “Spot Account”, search the coin you want to deposit in the search box, and then click on “Deposit” at the bottom of the selected coin.

  3. Select “GateCode”.

  4. On the “GateCode Deposit” page, you can choose to scan the saved QR code image or paste the copied GateCode here to deposit. Double-check the information before clicking on “OK”.

  5. Then you will see deposit details as shown below. You can choose to return to the previous page or deposit again.

Note:

  1. Before sharing your GateCode with others, please be sure to verify their identities. Never share your GateCode with strangers.
  2. Gate does not provide trading channels for GateCodes. Please be cautious when buying GateCodes from other users. Trading GateCodes with strangers is never advised.
  3. A GateCode consists of 2 parts connected by a hyphen. The first part can be used to check the denomination of the GateCode or to lock the GateCode. Payment should be made after the GateCode is locked. A full GateCode is essential to complete the deposit. Please make sure that the GateCodes you plan to buy from other users are valid. You can verify and lock GateCodes by submitting their first parts. To avoid a scam, payment is made only if the GateCodes are locked.
  4. If a GateCode is not deposited within 2 hours after getting locked, it will be automatically unlocked and not be protected.
