According to a report by CoinCodex, the AMZN stock price is expected to range between $216.35 and $251.69 in 2025. At the time of writing, the stock price is approximately $221, at the lower end of the forecast range. The market generally has a positive outlook on Amazon’s revenue and AI investment potential, but is simultaneously cautious about economic and competitive risks.
Amazon’s revenue reached $167.7 billion in the second quarter of 2025, exceeding market expectations by 3.32%, with earnings per share of $1.68, surpassing expectations by 26.32%. However, the company provided a wide guidance range for operating income in the third quarter, between $15 billion and $20.5 billion, leading the market to adopt a cautious stance on profit fluctuations, causing the stock price to drop by more than 7% in after-hours trading.
The core profit source, AWS, saw revenue growth of 17% this quarter, reaching 30.9 billion dollars, but the growth rate has slowed, and the gross margin has declined to 32.9%. Insufficient servers and power resources have resulted in an order backlog of 195 billion dollars, making it difficult to quickly digest demand in the short term.
Amazon’s capital expenditure is expected to exceed $100 billion in 2025, focusing on investment in AWS AI capabilities. This move will strengthen the company’s future competitiveness but may compress profits in the short term.
In the long run, we are optimistic about Amazon’s growth potential in the fields of AI, e-commerce, and advertising, with its stock price likely oscillating between $216 and $252 in the short term. Key observations in the next 12 to 18 months include the progress of AWS infrastructure expansion, commercialization of AI products, global economic impact, and changes in the competitive landscape.
