GateLive AMA Recap-BLOCX

2024-03-29, 09:48

Q1: Could you provide an overview of what BLOCX. is all about and its vision?

Everyone understands that virus protection is essential for computers, and many virus protection software packages include features such as a Password Vault, VPN, and Safe Browser. But now, imagine having it all in one place: Remote Access, Afterburner, AI, Cloud Services, and on top of that, crypto-related tools like Wallet, Swap, and a Distributed Computing Marketplace. Isn’t that all you actually need? Why hassle with all the different software if you know you can get it all from one source?

So you can say overall BLOCX is about delivering everything to you at your convenience. All Web3 and Web2 tools under one suite.

Q2: What are the key features already introduced in BLOCX. Desktop, and what will follow?

Our BLOCX Desktop V1.0 was merely released as an MVP for users to get a taste of what is to come. However, all the main and important features were already included. V1.0 included a Malware Section, Device Health, Password Vault, and Non-Custodial Crypto Wallet.

Now the biggest update in V1.2 which will be released already on this Sunday is Remote Access, allowing people to access their other devices with ease. Another great addition is the AI section, where initially, a Crypto-related ChatBOT will be added in collaboration with PAALAI. However, this is just one part of the AI section, many more features will be added in later phases, such as Scam Detectors, Website Scanners, and Contract Sniffers.

In full suit you will be able to find Malware Section, Device health section with optimizer, drivers auto updated, afterburner, Password Vault, Remote Access, Cloud Services, Non-Custodial Crypto Wallet and Distributed Computing Marketplace

Q3: The BLOCX. platform operates without data collection and connects directly with users’ wallets. Why such an approach, and what exactly are its benefits?

Our software, apps, and solutions are all powered and connected through a wallet. Unlike some software that requires you to register an account and provide your email, in our case, only wallet registration is necessary. That means, the user’s account is their wallet, and our wallet is 100% decentralized, with no data collection, and everything is stored on the user’s side. This is how our eco operates: everything is connected through the wallet. So, if you have saved any passwords on your device or transferred crypto, all of it is linked to the wallet, which is, in turn, protected by a password and PIN. So why is it beneficial you ask? Data is controlled by user only, no central authority.

Q4: What are the key functionalities the team is currently working on, and when can we expect these things to be released?

Recent updates include the release of BLOCX Desktop V1.2, which features a Malware Section with Quick, Full, and Custom Scan options, Device Health Section, Optimizer, Password Vault, Remote Access, an AI Section with a Crypto-related ChatBOT and a Non-Custodial Crypto Wallet. All these will be released on the coming Sunday, March 31st. After this release, our Desktop Team will begin working on a VPN.

In addition, our second team is working on B.TXT, a decentralized messenger powered by masternodes serving as its servers. The very initial version is expected to be released in about 2 weeks from now.

And our third team is focusing on the Distributed Computing Marketplace, or as we call it, BLOCX.Marketplace. The estimated release date for the MVP is around 2-2.5 months.

Overall, there is a lot going on, and to learn more about it, we strongly suggest following our social media channels and checking our roadmap.

Q5: Can you tell us more about a Distributed Computing Marketplace and what will be included in the first MVP?

What will the MVP include:

1.A portal to sign in with your BLOCX. Wallet
2.The option to list your computing power
3.The option to rent someone’s computing power
4.Payment in BLOCX
5.Custom terminal
6.A terminal setup guide for listing your device and renting someones else
7.Time tracking mechanism (pay as you go)
8.Backup data (Encrypted Cloud)

Our first MVP will include regular Computing Power Access and Machine Learning. With later addition template of Rendering so overall you can say once it is finished we covered most of aspects.
