With Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations underway across Vietnam, Gate Charity took the opportunity to spread joy and give back to the less fortunate. On February 5, as part of the Tet of Togetherness initiative, Gate Charity volunteers visited people experiencing homelessness throughout the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, connecting with them and delivering donations.
Tet is Vietnam’s most celebrated festival and marks the start of spring on the Vietnamese calendar. While many are fortunate to have the opportunity to celebrate a new year, some are still struggling to meet basic everyday needs.
Seeking to provide warmth and connectedness during Vietnam’s most celebrated date, Gate Charity volunteers set out into the night, when the homeless population is most visible, to distribute Chueng cakes, an essential dish of Tet celebrations. In addition, they distributed monetary donations to help alleviate the burden of poverty.
The initiative successfully brought the traditional joy of Tet to often isolated and disadvantaged individuals, ensuring they are included and remembered during a time of celebration.
As a non-profit philanthropic organization, Gate Charity aims to provide aid and support to disadvantaged communities and individuals in not only Vietnam, but other regions worldwide. With a focus on education, health, poverty alleviation, and other vital causes, Gate Charity is committed to positively impacting people’s lives through blockchain-based and conventional philanthropy.
The Tet of Togetherness initiative is just one example of the organization’s efforts to bring hope and joy to those in need. Gate Charity will continue to work towards its mission of creating a better world for all and welcomes the crypto community to help make a difference.
