Don't just understand the Bitcoin ecosystem, these in_script_ions are hot right now

2024-01-02, 08:00

Since the explosion of the Inion eco, new projects/protocols have emerged every day, from the initial BRC-20, Bitcoin From Stamp to SPL-20, ASC-20, ARC-20, PRC-20, DRC-20, INS-20…, various xx-20 tokens have been popping up like mushrooms in every corner of the cryptocurrency market.

From the changes in the block rate in the past three years in the following figure, we can see the market’s enthusiasm for the inion protocol. The block rate sharply soared in May-June and November this year, and various projects flourished in November and December, showing a momentum comparable to the ‘DeFi Summer’ of that year.

In this wave of narrative, staying up all night to participate in new listings is no longer something new, only participating in an inion eco is something fresh. Below, I will introduce several hot inion protocols other than the Bitcoin eco.

A. ‘Atavism’ Inion - SPL-20

SPL-20 is the only on-chain library on Solona that, like other inion protocols, allows users to create their own custom SPL-20 tokens. The reason why SPL-20 is “atavistic” is because it provides users with a unique way to make images have their own on-chain addresses, which is contrary to the previous popular way of storing all NFT images in a distributed manner off-chain, and seems to be a bit of a “back in time” trend.

The first inion of SPL-20, SOLS, has a casting cost of about $5, with a token’s all-time high of $8.24 and a low of $0.26. The 24-hour trading volume on the Gate.io spot market for SOLS is 1,633,800 SOLS, equivalent to approximately $5.72 million in USD.

2. ‘Scratch and Win’ Inion - ASC-20

ASC-20 is Avalanche The Inion protocol on Avalanche allows users to inscribe data on the Avalanche chain, creating a similar effect to digital collectibles. The launch of ASC-20 quickly attracted market attention, and the daily transaction volume on the Avalanche network soared from around 450,000 transactions to over 2.3 million transactions. It is called the ‘Scratch Inion’ because ASC-20 has low transaction fees, thresholds, and gas fees. Users who mint can consider it as spending money to buy a lottery ticket and scratch out some ‘surprises’ in the ASC-20 eco.

Previously, popular coins like AVAL and AVAV had an inion rate of 100% and a holding rate of around 20,000 people. Now, DINO has emerged as a rising star with an inion rate of 100% and a holding rate of nearly 40,000 people.

3. New PoW Mining Model - ARC-20

ARC-20 adopts the stained coin model, where each ARC-20 token has a satoshi support, unlike BRC-20 which is differentiated by sorting. Since ARC-20 tokens are entirely based on satoshis, they can be split and merged like Bitcoin and can be directly transferred through the Bitcoin network. Unlike other inion protocols, in ARC-20, minting tokens requires not only paying Gas fees but also contributing your CPU/GPU. Although it may sound more cumbersome in the minting process, it offers greater scalability and interoperability on the Bitcoin chain compared to ordinals, especially for NFTs, games, social platforms, and identity verification.

The first ARC-20 token created is ATOM, which has risen 22.7% in token price in the past 30 days, influenced by the ‘inion fever’. In addition, the ARC-20 token QUARK, which means the fundamental unit of matter ‘quark’ in English, has also been in high demand recently. Many community members believe that QUARK, with its meme attributes, has the potential to become a popular meme coin in the Atomicals eco.

4. Beginner-friendly casting - PRC-20

PRC-20 is issued Arweave According to the official introduction, fair distribution, low fees, high TPS interaction, and no block size limit are the main features of PRC-20, which is why PRC-20 is a “novice-friendly” inion. PRC-20’s “out of the circle” is mainly due to the fact that on November 16, the community discovered the deployment of the PRC-20 standard token POLS as early as May this year, and then frantically minted, resulting in a sharp increase in gas fees, but also established the leading position of POLS in PRC-20.

Currently, the POLS casting rate has reached 100%, with a total of 18,552 people participating in the casting of this token. The gas fee required for casting POLS exceeds 800,000 MATIC.

Fifth, OpenSea Trend List First - INS-20

INS-20 is an inion protocol that is freely minted on the EVM. By using Events to carry data in the EVM, inions are no longer separated from smart contracts, allowing them to participate in existing DeFi protocols. The first INS-20 token created is INSC, created on December 21, 2023. Just three days later, INSC (ins-20) became the number one trending token on OpenSea, with a floor price of 0.06 ETH and 2563 holding addresses. The current minting rate of INSC seems to be less than 100%. Interested users can learn more and participate in minting at their own discretion.
