Gate Web3 and Gate Charity Provide Inspiration and Financial Support to Students in Vietnam

Gate Web3 recently concluded its educational and philanthropic event, ‘Gate Web3 - Empowering GenZ in Web3’, on October 28. Hosted in partnership with the University of Economics and Law (UEL) located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, students and academics gathered to learn about career paths in Web3 and receive tuition support.

Aiming to empower young students by preparing them for the emerging Web3 sector, the Gate team hosted insightful keynotes and panel discussions for attendees. Ms. Mai Ngo, SEA Regional Manager of Gate.io, delivered an inspiring address to the students. At the same time, a panel of experts, including Ms. Mai Ngo, Mr. Tuan Anh from BSCS, and Mr. Dao Tien Phong, Managing Lawyer at Investpush Legal, all offered knowledge, career guidance, and academic inspiration.

The event was viewed by thousands online and over 100 in person, with 15 students receiving scholarships valued at 1,000,000 VND each during an informative session with Gate Web3 and Gate Charity. The scholarships will help disadvantaged students with fees and living expenses associated with their education.

The attendees walked away from this event with a realistic idea of what a future career in Web3 may hold, and it provided inspiration and knowledge to help guide them toward one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing sectors. As a show of appreciation, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Anh Phong, Head of the Finance and Banking Department at UEL, presented the Gate team with a thank you letter and flowers on behalf of the department.

The Gate team believes that Web3 is steering society in a more positive direction with an impact that is global. This impact will come about as the Web3 sector further develops in Vietnam and worldwide. With a rapidly emerging Web3 sector and high adoption of blockchain-related tech, Gate.io will continue to pursue educational, philanthropic, and other innovative initiatives in Vietnam and other blockchain hubs globally.
