Q1: What is Dtravel’s mission?

Cynthia: Our mission is to create a world where every person is empowered to be an active owner in the future and success of the sharing economy.

Q2: What makes Dtravel different?

Cynthia: There are 3 main areas that set us apart: (1) Our team, made up of top tier contributors and advisors who previously worked at the largest home sharing, travel and crypto companies. They have extensive experience in their areas of expertise such as design, product, business development, blockchain, tech and regulations. (2) Our DAO, which is the first DAO in the home sharing economy. Community members will get a voice and a vote in how the platform is run. (3) The TRVL token which allows hosts and guests to become owners and contributors to the Dtravel eco and enables participation in governance and voting activities that influence how the Dtravel platform is managed.

Q3: Why build a home sharing platform on the blockchain?

Cynthia: Truly, it’s what sets us apart because using Web 3.0 technologies, we can do things that aren’t possible with Web 2.0 platforms today. Two main examples are the TRVL token and the DAO. Web 2.0 platforms just don’t allow for shared ownership nor do they allow people to have a vote or contribute to the eco. Web 2.0 platforms are closed s which require that users are invited onto the platform, especially to contribute, whereas with Web 3.0 platforms, it’s an open that allows any community members to become involved and contribute.

Q4: What use cases does TRVL have?

Cynthia: The TRVL token centers around 4 main areas — travel, loyalty, governance and protection. Travel - guests can pay with crypto and hosts can accept crypto, including TRVL Loyalty - we have onboarding incentives for hosts and guests and a support-to-earn program that rewards people for contributing to the growth of Dtravel Governance - TRVL holders can participate in governance and voting activities that influence how the Dtravel platform is managed Protection - all hosts are protected by a $1,000,000 USD protection pool for property damage for stays booked on Dtravel.

Q5: What is the DAO’s purpose in Dtravel?

Cynthia: The DAO gives all TRVL token holders stakeholder membership in the Dtravel DAO and enables participation in governance and voting activities that influence how the Dtravel platform is managed. Unlike other platforms, the people who use it and contribute the most value to it get to be directly involved in how the platform grows and evolves and contribute directly toward the growth and success of the entire eco.
