Three arrows at once, understanding Chromia's incentive test plan with one article

Abstract generation in progress

Chromia is a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform that provides dedicated dApp chains, customized fee structures, and enhanced digital asset services to users and developers using a modular framework. In addition, Chromia also supports natively queryable real-time data indexing, fundamentally changing the way on-chain information is structured, greatly simplifying the end-user experience to promote entirely new Web3 business models.

Furthermore, Chromia’s scalability allows for parallel processing of tasks, effectively supporting high-performance gaming dApps. Take the platform’s flagship immersive game, My Neighbour Alice, as an example, where players can build virtual land, interact with neighbors, complete daily activities, and earn rewards. It is not an exaggeration to say that Chromia’s modular framework and relational blockchain technology have the potential to change the development and usage of decentralized applications.

Recently, Chromia announced the official launch of the incentivized test program, which is an important step towards the mainnet release. Participants can contribute to network security and win rewards, and can also interact with the testnet CHR tokens and the official Chromia Wallet (Chromia Vault) on the networks supported by Chromia.

It is reported that the incentive scale of this plan reaches 250,000 CHR tokens, including three independent sub-projects, each of which has its own dedicated network to run the Chromia Mainnet candidate version. It can be said that all three projects are launched simultaneously, as follows:

1. HackNet (continuing until June 28th)

Designed for developers and advanced users, HackNet provides the opportunity to explore extreme scenarios on a sandbox network and view the Chromia code repository. The program offers a maximum reward of 100,000 CHR, and the collected feedback will be used to prepare the Mainnet.

The purpose of HackNet is to incentivize programmers and technical users to stress test Chromia’s core software and detect edge cases. While anyone can submit reports, the program offers little guidance and is currently mainly suitable for individuals with technical knowledge who can read code and/or interact with the blockchain without using a frontend client.

HackNet will end on June 28th to coincide with the completion of the third-party audit by Trail of Bits, enabling the Chromia team to assess feedback and ultimately determine the Mainnet launch schedule.

2. ProjectNet (continues until July 26)

ProjectNet is designed for developers and will serve as the hosting network for the Demo Dapp competition, where Chromia will award a total of 50,000 CHR to the top three submissions.

The purpose of ProjectNet is to incentivize developers to learn Rell and build on the Chromia blockchain. The Demo Dapp competition is open to individuals with experience coding Web2 and Web3 applications, but no experience with Rell is required.

Chromia allows applicants to submit applications in any form, whether original works, works inspired by existing applications, or direct adaptations of existing applications originally written in another programming language. It is reported that the application deadline is July 26, so that participants have time to improve their Rell skills and implement construction. The winners of the competition will be selected by a six-person team from Chromia’s development, business development, and marketing teams, and the top 3 submitted works will share a 50,000 CHR prize pool.

3. QuestNet (June 18 to August 30)

QuestNet aims to encourage new and old community members to explore Chromia and dApp related functions, and promote interaction with core network functions such as Chromia Vault and specific decentralized applications.

The QuestNet program is scheduled to launch on June 18, including some introductory tasks that will be continuously expanded over the next few weeks. The program has a prize pool of 100,000 CHR tokens, and the distribution of these rewards will be determined by a series of lotteries held after the program ends. To prevent robotic behavior, eligibility criteria for the lottery will not be disclosed in advance, but generally, the potential method for maximizing rewards is to complete all available tasks, regularly check the dashboard, and keep up-to-date with the latest developments of QuestNet by following Chromia on social media.

Key Points

  1. HackNet will continue until June 28th and is designed for developers and other tech-savvy users.

  2. ProjectNet will continue until July 26, designed specifically for developers.

  3. QuestNet will run from June 18th to August 30th, designed for daily users, and rewards will be determined and distributed after the plan ends.

Chromia co-founder Alex Mizrahi said he is pleased to invite users to explore the Chromia innovation platform through the incentive test program. This is an opportunity to showcase Chromia technology before its mainnet release and also gives the community a chance to make positive contributions to shaping the future Chromia ecosystem.
