According to 1M AI News, Meta AI and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) jointly released a paper introducing the concept of "Neural Computer" (Neural Computer, NC): the model itself handles computation, storage, and input/output responsibilities, becoming a runnable machine. The last author of the paper is Jürgen Schmidhuber, co-inventor of LSTM, and the first author Mingchen Zhuge is his PhD student and a co-author of the multi-agent framework MetaGPT. The paper distinguishes four types of machine forms: traditional computers organized around explicit programs, agents organized around tasks, world models around loops…
