Xpeng announces patent for gait adjustment of robots
Qichacha APP shows that recently, Guangzhou Xiaopeng Motors Technology Co., Ltd. applied to publish a patent for “Gait Adjustment Method, Device, Equipment, and Storage Medium for Robots.”
The patent abstract indicates that the invention relates to the field of intelligent robots, discloses a gait adjustment method, device, equipment, and storage medium for robots, and the method includes: obtaining target sampling points of the humanoid robot’s foot, as well as the coordinate values and terrain elevation data corresponding to each target sampling point; calculating the foot placement return value of the humanoid robot based on the coordinate values and terrain elevation data of each target sampling point; obtaining the maximum terrain elevation data within a preset radius for each target sampling point, and calculating the kick step return value of the humanoid robot based on the coordinate values and the maximum terrain elevation data; adjusting the robot’s gait based on the foot placement return value and the kick step return value.
By obtaining the target sampling point coordinates and terrain elevation data, and calculating two types of return values—foot placement and kick step—the invention guides the humanoid robot to perform precise gait adjustments, improving the robot’s autonomous movement adaptability and stability in complex terrains such as stairs.
