On April 13, there were differences in the scope of application between Trump's statement and the U.S. Central Command regarding the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. The official U.S. military statement was more restrained, targeting only Iranian ports rather than the entire Strait of Hormuz.

Yesterday, Trump stated that the U.S. Navy would blockade the Strait of Hormuz, intercepting all ships paying tolls to Iran.

However, the U.S. Central Command issued a notice saying that its forces would begin implementing a maritime traffic blockade of all ships entering or leaving Iranian ports at 10 a.m. Eastern Time on April 13 (10 p.m. Beijing time today). All ships from any country entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas (including all Iranian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman) will be treated equally. The Central Command forces will not hinder the freedom of navigation of ships traveling to and from non-Iranian ports through the Strait of Hormuz. #Gate现货衍生品双双冲进全球前三
