Hey, a lot of people are struggling with their Pi KYC right now. Honestly, the process isn't that complicated if you know what you're doing. I've seen people wait for months while others get approved in a few days. The difference? Usually it's the quality of the documents and the clarity of your photo.
So, before even thinking about your Pi KYC application, make sure you've mined for at least 30 days and you're at least 18 years old. Of course, you need a valid ID, preferably a passport. Read the instructions carefully before starting, it's silly but it makes all the difference.
The important thing: your photo must be clear and well-lit. Seriously. I've seen applications rejected just because the face wasn't visible enough. Take your time to take a good ID photo too, both sides if possible.
Once you fill out the form with your info (first name, last name, date of birth, etc.), it takes about 5-10 minutes max. After that, it really depends. Some say it took a few minutes, others have been waiting for weeks. It's your country's validators who decide, and at least two people need to approve your request.
If you've been stuck for a long time, try checking your status in the app, see if there's an error message somewhere. Sometimes it helps to restart the process. And yeah, it costs 1 Pi for the request, it's rewarded to the validators so it's not lost.
Waiting is annoying but that's how it works. Patience.
