Mars Finance News: On April 12, according to The Wall Street Journal, U.S. Vice President Vance said that after marathon-style peace talks between the U.S. and Iran, the two sides failed to reach an agreement because Tehran refused to give up its pursuit of nuclear weapons. “Unfortunately, we were unable to make any progress.” Vance also called on Iran to “make” a clear commitment not to seek nuclear weapons. Iran’s chief negotiator said in response that Washington failed to earn its trust.

In addition, the U.S. also stated that two U.S. Navy destroyers passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, marking the first time U.S. warships have traversed the waterway since the start of the war. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy denied that these ships passed through the strait and said that any attempt to do so via that route would be met with a “decisive and tough” response.
