I just found out that Ukraine has permanently shut the doors to Polymarket. It's not just a temporary blockade, but there is directly no legal route for it to return. It's interesting to see how countries are becoming increasingly restrictive with online prediction and betting platforms.
It makes me think about how governments are controlling more digital spaces. From internet-free war games to specialized platforms like Polymarket, it seems there is a global trend toward greater regulation over what their citizens can access. In Ukraine's case, it probably relates to broader policies on consumer protection or financial security.
The question is: how many other countries will do the same in the coming months? This could set an important precedent for the cryptocurrency industry and decentralized platforms.
