Reports say Amazon plans to move the 2026 Prime Day major sale to late June.

IT Home, March 13th news, Bloomberg reported on the 12th local time that, citing informed sources, the global e-commerce giant Amazon plans to move the Prime Day member shopping event in 2026 from the traditional July to late June.

Since its launch in 2015, Prime Day has been one of Amazon’s key annual promotional activities to attract concentrated consumer spending. IT Home notes that the company will extend Prime Day from 2 days to 4 days in 2025 to enhance freshness and appeal, giving consumers more time to compare prices and browse.

Amazon Prime Day’s performance has become a barometer of overall consumer sentiment, especially during this period of economic uncertainty. According to third-party statistics, last year’s Amazon Prime Day and other platform events simultaneously boosted online sales for U.S. retailers by 30.3%.
