I just realized: Over a billion dollars are flowing into Bitcoin ETFs, but the price isn't really moving up. That's actually strange when you consider how much capital is being moved.

An analyst gave me an interesting explanation for this. Apparently, it’s because many of these ETF purchases don’t necessarily mean new demand for Bitcoin itself. When people buy ETFs instead of Bitcoin directly, it’s capital inflow, but not the same as direct pressure on the spot market.

There are also factors like institutional hedging strategies—large players buying ETFs but simultaneously hedging their positions. That can dampen the price effect. It’s somewhat counterintuitive: massive sums of money are flowing in, but the price isn’t moving accordingly.

Anyone considering buying ETFs should understand this. The sheer amount of ETF inflows isn’t a direct indicator of price movements. It depends on how these funds actually impact the market. Some analysts believe this could change if the dynamics shift—but for now, buying ETFs and price increases don’t automatically go hand in hand.
