ME News Report, April 11 (UTC+8), Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on the 10th during a government meeting on artificial intelligence technology development that large language models have become foundational, end-to-end technologies across various sectors of the country. He pointed out: “Only with our own autonomous models can we confidently move forward, ensure security and defense capabilities, and stay at the forefront of scientific and engineering ideas. Moreover, Russia is one of the few countries in the world with unique expertise in this field.” Putin also mentioned that so-called open-source solutions are often used to develop language models.
