TBEA New Energy Releases a New Generation of Series-Connected Dual Engines
On April 1st, TBEA New Energy’s “Photovoltaic Storage Integration, Smart Initiation of a New Journey” Large-Scale Power Station Photovoltaic Storage Technology Innovation Summit and New Product Launch Conference was grandly held in Beijing.
This conference also covered industry trend analysis, technical pathway sharing, and the release of major new products, with many authoritative experts and corporate representatives discussing the future of the new power system.

The core part of this conference was the new product release ceremony. Under the witness of the guests on site, TBEA New Energy officially launched a new generation of grid-forming high-power string liquid-cooled energy storage inverters and a brand-new 500kW string photovoltaic inverter.

The focus on “true grid-forming” capability was repeatedly emphasized, and experts agreed that electrochemical energy storage must complete the transition from “price” to “value,” eliminate low-price competition, and ensure the healthy development of grid-forming energy storage, thereby effectively supporting the safe and stable operation of the new power system. The entire conference was tightly paced, progressing from macro policies and industry insights to specific product solutions, clearly demonstrating TBEA New Energy’s technological thinking and strategic layout under the trend of photovoltaic-storage integration.
Energy Storage “Smart Heart”:
TE435/392K-HV Grid-Forming High-Power String Liquid-Cooled PCS
This product is a thorough overhaul of the core component of energy storage systems—the inverter (PCS). Its biggest highlight is the adoption of fully intelligent liquid cooling and ultra-high power density integrated design. Through innovative topology and thermal management, it achieves a smaller size and lighter weight at the same power level; compared to previous models, both volume density and weight density are significantly improved. This allows for a substantial reduction in the land area of energy storage stations, especially suitable for land-scarce or retrofit projects, directly lowering initial investment and land costs. TE435/392K-HV not only surpasses physical compactness but also functions like a “smart heart” with independent thinking and support capabilities. Paired with the TE-PowerHUB high-speed control platform, it possesses grid-forming capabilities, enabling seamless millisecond-level switching with grid-following modes. This means it can adapt to various grid environments from very strong to very weak (SCR=1—40), and actively provide inertia support, fast frequency regulation, and even black start services, transforming from a simple “power transporter” to an active participant in maintaining grid stability. With high protection levels of IP66+C5-M and multiple active safety designs, it ensures ultra-high reliability in harsh environments while pursuing extreme compactness.
Photovoltaic “High-Efficiency Engine”:
TS500KTL-HV-C1 String Photovoltaic Inverter
On the photovoltaic side, the debut of the TS500KTL-HV-C1 pushes the single-unit power of string inverters to a new global height of 500kW. The product is compatible with 5/5.5MW large photovoltaic base sub-arrays, supporting higher voltage platforms of 1600V DC and 1000Vac AC, effectively reducing system line losses and BOS (Balance of System) costs. Compared to mainstream 330kW solutions, it is expected to bring significant initial investment savings for power plants.
The core power of this “engine” uses third-generation silicon carbide (SiC) devices, which not only improve conversion efficiency but also enhance power density and reliability. The product features an ultra-wide operating temperature range of -40℃ to 70℃ and can operate at high altitudes of up to 5000 meters without derating, demonstrating unparalleled environmental adaptability. In terms of grid connection, it adopts voltage source control technology, capable of actively supporting grid voltage and frequency, with a power response time of less than 20 milliseconds, greatly improving the response speed and support strength of photovoltaic power stations to grid dispatching commands, aiding grid stability under high renewable penetration.
Technical Depth:
From Single-Point Breakthroughs to System-Level Value Rebuilding
The two new products offer more than just parameter improvements; they aim at optimizing system-level efficiency and economics, empowered by intelligent management throughout their lifecycle.
Density Revolution and Cost Optimization:
The compact design of TE435/392K-HV directly reduces land, installation, and civil engineering costs for energy storage systems. TS500KTL-HV-C1 reduces BOS costs by decreasing the number of inverters and cable supports through high power and voltage. Both contribute to lowering the levelized cost of electricity (LCOE/LCOS) of new energy power stations from different angles.
Active Grid Support Becomes Standard:
Whether it’s the grid-forming ability of energy storage or the voltage source control of photovoltaic, TBEA New Energy’s products fully embrace the “grid-friendly” design philosophy. This shifts renewable energy sites from “grid adaptors” to “grid supporters,” aligning with the fundamental needs of building a new power system.
