International Game Technology (IGT) plans to cut approximately 700 jobs, or 10% of its global workforce, as part of a restructuring effort to align resources with business priorities and streamline operations. CEO Hector Fernandez stated that these “difficult but necessary” decisions arose from a review aimed at strengthening the company following its recent merger with Everi Holdings Inc. The company will provide severance and outplacement support to affected employees.
