ME News report, April 5 (UTC+8): On April 3, the United States’ National Public Radio quoted a U.S. Navy spokesperson as saying that after the start of the conflict between the United States and Iran, 1,500 U.S. servicemen and their families stationed at a U.S. military base in Bahrain had been “repatriated back to the United States.” The report also said that personnel were evacuated from other U.S. military bases in the Middle East, but the specific figures are not yet clear.
