Techub News reports, citing Reuters from Jintou Data, that a senior Iranian official said the United States has agreed to lift the freeze on Iranian frozen assets held in “Qatar and other foreign banks.” Iran believes this is a test of goodwill and a reflection of the sincerity of all parties in working toward a lasting peace agreement. The source said that before any lasting peace agreement is reached, the unfreezing of assets is also “directly related to ensuring safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.”
